I love my Ricoh GR-1. There was a recent thread on PNet regarding the film-like "grain" in images shot with the GR-D at high ISO (800. 1600), with some excellent examples in Kei Nakamatsu's flickr gallery.
The camera seems pretty impressive, with minimal shutter lag. Nice pocketable size. Probably would make a good tool for candid and street photography. And a reasonable alternative or complement to the digital RF option(s). The lens is plenty sharp, like the GR-1, and the photos I have seen look natural and forgive my lack of a better term, "film-like." It has seen use by some pros, including Moriyama (as noted in the thread) and Bob Krist, to name a few.
Here's another great gallery I came across.
Prices have come down a bit, but still a little high for a digicam. But definitely something I will keep an eye on. Tony Rose, next time you have another demo, pls let me know.
