Seeing that Mika of Mocow photo now has a Zorki 1 in black and chrome with lovely detailing to match my pretend Leicas [ Leica-likes ] causes me to muse on what is '' real '' to my Autistic glitch ...
I would love that Zorki 1 ... but the Mika-Mouse '' Leica '' is still more '' right '' to my mind .[ even a Zorki S is more 'right' than a Leica IIIc LOL ]
It seems that the image of '' Leica '' is imprinted ... or even engraving which I can deecipher easily ... overules '' reality ''
I know this from my original chrome Zorki and Fed , but seeing it in the matching livery brought it into focus .
[ creating silver Contax ' labels ' for my Kiev cameras has a similar efect ,
though KNeB seems OK .
I wonder if this a form of dee'lexia . It's surely an odd reason for buying compromised , ID stolen cameras [ other than that they are as new ]

I think having a real Zorki or Fed is more having the 'real thing', then having a pretender. Of course the design is a copy, but they where made in different plants which gives them an identity and character of their own.
Changing their names was meant to make more money out of them in the first place. However I do like good paint jobs on cameras.

It's good that these refurbished cameras are now retaining their identity , but I am grateful to the Leica pretenders because they have extended cameras accepted by my Auistic glitch into Zorki S - even Zenit S is good .
... and frankly , it is wicked having a pair of 1933 Leica II , black and nickel and twin Fed 1g Leica in matching finishes .
