Hi,

I've been using the new Ricoh GX100 for about a week now. So far it has been excellent, the wide zoom range from 24-72mm is very useful. I find the lens sharp corner to corner and the camera handles colour very well, some tweaking in photoshop is required but i don't know another camera that doesn't!

Any people here who are using this camera? What do you think of it's quality?
Any problems?

Thanks

Dpreview forum asks everybody to upgrade the firmware to 1.14.
Can't wait to see some b&w samples. Good luck and enjoy the camera

I think it's quality is top notch for a tiny digital camera. I've had mine a week and a half. I am taking more photos because I purchased it.

Here are some B&W examples for you and IZr:

So far, mine appears to be slow, especially in dim light. Focus is slow, shutter activation seems to take forever. Frankly, I was very surprised by this. The add-on electronic viewfinder has an image that is sooo tiny that I find it to be nearly useless. Also, I am very nearsighted. While I can use the built-in diopter correction to see numbers on the viewfinder screen, for some reason the image itself never gets sharp. I'm sure it's just the way my eyes interact with the viewfinder, but if you have presbyopia and are very nearsighted, this could affect you, too. For me, the jury is still out on this camera.
