RIP, Leila Alaoui

This is terribly sad. She was doing her best to help those who needed help. Who perpetrates the sort of insanity that sees people - good people going about their lives - murdered in the streets?

RIP Leila.

This is very sad news. Like so many photographers before her, she was talented and motivated by a desire to help others. And as the tragic record shows, this is no protection against circumstance and bad luck to be somewhere at the wrong time. I hope her legacy brings at least some worthwhile change to have made her sacrifice worthwhile. RIP.

Leila's death reminds me to be grateful that I live in a society that is open and tolerant of others, especially when so much of the the world is plunged in the darkness of hate.
I hope it encourages all of us to cultivate the path of tolerance and acceptance in our daily lives.

This is very sobering. It makes a discussion on which digital camera to use ... not so important.

Not to be disrespectful, but 28 other people died and 56 are wounded, few of those I'm guessing, chose to travel to Burkina Faso
