RIP Tom A

Throughout the years, Tom was always a kind and extremely knowledgeable gentleman in all our on-line communications about optics and rangefinder cameras. I can just imagine his generosity to those who had the great fortune of spending time with him personally and absorbing his good humor and good natured way while sharing their passions of capturing imagery and the associated equipment to do so. I was fortunate to have been the recipient of a small fraction of that and am grateful.

Rest in peace Tom and my condolences to his wife and family and the RRF community who morn his passing. We are all better people for having known Tom.

Dave (D&A)

This is very sad news. My condolences to his family and friends.

My one interaction with Tom, over the internet, was quite pleasant. I always admired his posts here on RFF, and never saw one that was not meant to be helpful and informative.

He is missed.

A very sad day for the RFF community.
My prayers and thoughts to his family and all those who are grieving the loss of Tom Abrahamsson in their life.

A man who will be missed. The kind of guy who didn't mind talking to a nobody like me about photography. I just got my first Classic softie a few weeks ago...I'll cherish it all the more. Thank you Tom and godspeed.

Very sad news, and a big loss both to the RFF community and clearly to many users as well.

He will clearly be very fondly remembered.

I'm so sad to hear this. I never met Tom in person but corresponded with him over the years. He was always so kind and generous with his knowledge, no matter how silly a question you asked. His enthusiasm for photography and Leicas was contagious and never failed to lift my spirits.

My heartfelt sympathies to his family and all who knew him.

He will be sorely missed.

Jim

I forgot to mention too that Tom was a fellow brother of the briar. May the hereafter have an unending supply of your favorite blend Tom.

The world has lost a great photographer and we all lost a great friend.

May his pictures remind us that he lives forever.

I don't own a Leica, and prefer SLRs. But I never missed reading his posts when I saw them. I always enjoyed them. I learned from them. His posts were always interesting. I will miss him as will others here and elsewhere.

I will be praying for his family.

I am shocked to read that Tom has passed away. Sincere condolences to his family and friends. What a tremendous loss for the RFF community.

Even though I never met Tom, I greatly admired him. His posts were always informative and helpful to others. He will be greatly missed.
