I have had good experience with Ritzcam. After some email correspondence I decided to buy a Summaron from them. Before I had paid, they telephoned me to say that when they were packing the lens for shipping, they had discovered a small defect that they hadn't previously noticed. We discussed it, renegotiated the price, I bought the lens, and found it to be just as they had described it and in excellent condition. In short, thumbs up for Ritzcam.

Yes, I bought something once from them. Very good customer service. I was disappointed by their very generous description of the item. They agreed, though, but after they got it back, they relisted it, and did not change the description.

I wouldn't hesitate about having business with them, though, due to their excellent attention and follow-up to my phone calls.
 
If you care to know about them....

A Leica M6TTL, black chrome, the best Leica body I've had. It came with a battery in place and ready to shoot, pristine, in box and everything. Shipping was a little high (over $20), but then, it was a valuable item.

I've bought a number of small things from them, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them over and over. They're also very nice people! 🙂
 
Have had a half dozen deals with them over the last few years. Top shelf. Tell them the index # and they will look at it and evaluate it during the call. Actully discouraged me from buying a lens for my Exakta.
 
I've purchased several cameras and lenses from them. Always dealt with Ed Panhuise. I found the descriptions to be accurate. Speaking directly to Ed on the phone is a great way to do it. As with Butch, Ed talked me out of a Summicron. Stu
 
I had the good fortune to deal with Sandy Ritz on the phone. He would have spent as long as I wanted on the phone. He declared my Collapsible Summicron has a very faint coating mark on the front element. Said he wasn't sure with his old eyes so he took out a loup and then had one of his younger employees look, "yup, a really slight mark on the coating." I still haven't found it. Good fair price and great lens and excellent to do business with.
 
I have bought a handful of items from them. (Sandy?) I have found them to be honest and good. They have good pix of items.

I once found some items listed in the wrong category (focus screens for the F1N) and priced way under market. I told them about the low prices and the wrong category. I offered to pay market, but they insisted on the price listed. That was two screens at $50 below market each, totalling $100 more they could have had!
 
I have dealt with them as well and will do so again. I was looking for some filters and they recommended a different set-up than what I was thinking about. Works better for me and cost me less $ than I was prepared to spend.

I bought a bgn. condition OM4 from them quite a few years back. It worked great for me until I sold it at a profit!

They're straight shooters.
