He may share the great man’s name but he is definitely no ANSEL with his camera. My own opinion here but there are many photographers who post images regularly on this site, that are far superior to what I have just viewed above.

Robert and Ansel, though their lives overlapped, are products of very different moments in our culture. They give expression to very different values and concerns. Perhaps we can broaden our appreciation of photography if we cease holding Ansel up as the standard by which all are judged (and usually found lacking!). I appreciate both for their very different approaches; my response to Ansel's work is more emotional, Robert's, more intellectual. Neither, to me, is "better", though I do think that Robert speaks more strongly to our present moment.
