I recently won a 90/4 that has fungus on the rear element as well as the front. I got the front cleaned so it seems fixable, is this a diy job or should I send it out.? Who repairs the rokkor m lenses?
Only the M-Rokkor 28mm f/2.8 with its white spots is difficult or impossible to CLA. I think that anybody can CLA the M-Rokkor 90mm f/4 you have. I know an amateur photographer who did his own CLA on his two M-Rokkor 40mm f/2. Of course, it all depends on your technical capabilities.
My choice would be to send it to a pro. It should not be very expensive.
I had thoughts of taking apart myself but I think ill set it aside and send it out. I will have to send it up to Sherry Krauter. I got it cheap enough that a good CLA would probably keep me below the price of another one.
