The annual Cherry Blossom Festival is coming up in Macon, Georgia in a couple of weeks.
Which leads me to ask who is in the area that has been to this festival before. I plan to go for my first time, specifically, to shoot Kodachrome and Velvia slides.
Then, there are the many other opportunities for shooting and it would be good to know who is out there in the Peach State...

I assume you talk about Georgia the US state and not Georgia the country (which is a pity, because the latter interests me a lot more )

I know there are a few members from Georgia, but maybe they're not paying attention. As I recall, there are a couple from the Athens area and I know there was one guy over in Ft. Gordon as he was selling a M7 around Christmas. Being from Augusta myself (though rarely get back) I've seen people on here before.
It's been many years since I was in Macon. I'd like to see the photos you get when everything is processed and ready to show.

Sorry Dave, I'm not in ga but I do visit my brother in the atl every month or two.
Macon might be a bit too far. My weekends seem much too short these days.

We pass through Macon on our annual trip to Hilton Head, but it is in early June. Looks like I'll miss the festival. But then again I do have a vacation coming up in two-three weeks ...

I live in Marietta, but haven't been to this event. Most of my local landscape work takes place up in the mountains north of here, we have plenty to work with. You might want to try the Roswell Photo Society - see this link: http://www.roswellphotosociety.org/. Good luck witih it.
