That add-on uncoupled auxilary rangefinder is a *perfect* accessory for one
of these cameras. How better to extend the anti-ergonomic aesthetic?

No doubt the diminutive Rollei looks really great mounted to that big old Viv 283 flash.
Can the flash be wired up to give the user a powerful jolt with each shot?

Interested in the repair info. The front element of my 35 LED unscrews and the meter does not work (probably related). The only problem for me is that by the time I have paid international postage both ways it gets expensive. Worth an e-mail with pics for a quote though. Thanks

I had my Rollei repaired in Sydney at Whilton Camera Repairs on Elizabeth St.
My meter had died and they gave it a CLA and adjusted the meter for 1.5V batteries.
~$150 (AUD).

They are great cameras (with stupid ergonomics which really only annoy when you stick a flash on) that can take a super photo. Get it fixed.
