Hi,
I have a Rollei 35RF which I would like to add a side grip.
I believe that my camera is a "clone" of a Bessa R2 with some minor changes, paint finish, frame lines etc.

Does anyone know if the Bessa grip will work on my Rollei?

Thanks.

Yes, Rollei 35RF is exactly the same as Bessa R2. I am pretty sure that the Bessa grip will work on it. If I remember correctly, Rollei did have some matching silver grips to go along with that. But they may be hard to find now.

Looks to me that the rubber grip material on the body of the Rollei is thicker than that fitted to the Bessa. Difficult to say really, the tripod socket which the grip mounts to looks to be in the same place, but that grip material may not give enough clearance. Haven't got a Rollei to try my grip on.......

As mentioned by nigelb, the thicker rubber covering on the body protrudes out of the camera body. So the Voigtlander side grip and trigger winders don't fit properly. You can try to 'force' it on. If it's not the grip but the trigger winder you are interested in, then Rollei has dedicated quick winder (just another name of the trigger winder) QW35 that is without the finger grip sticking up and protrude into the body. Works well.

Cheers,
