Nice article, but he mention wrongly selenium meters...
Yeah it is a Cds cell.
His photos makes that error forgiveable.

Love the article. My Rollei 35SE has a meter that's wildly out of adjustment, and using it without the meter makes it little different than a "plain" Rollei 35S. On focusing, I learned from street photography how far away 10 feet is, and I adjust the focus up or down from there.

Sweet pics Letao! Guess you forgot the memo that said you cannot get in focus pics w/ this camera.. 
Question re. the meter on the 35S vs 35SE. Many say they are the same, but the placement of the meter reading window is not only different (the SE is much more to the middle of the camera), but the SE's meter reading window appears to be much larger than that of the S.
So... are they really the same under the skin?
