Have you tried this lens? I see them on eBay. Not sure if it's made by Rollei (it says it is) or by Zeiss (Distagon is a Zeiss trade name). I don't know if the diaphragm action is coupled, to the Nikon body, as they are apparently converted from some other mount. Does anyone know if this lens represents any improvement over the Nikkor 35/2 AIs? The latter is a fairly good lens already. Any difference or improvement in color, sharpness, flare/ghosting resistance?

Edit: I forgot to put "35mm." Although I guess that's obvious.

Not necessarily an expert on Rollei lenses, but that has to be a lens for their old 35mm series (Rollei 35E/M & 2000/3000) reworked by someone to get mounted on a Nikon camera. Other than the very first series of lenses, which were marked as Carl Zeiss, they were all marked as "Rollei (CZ Lens name)" which meant they were made by Rollei Braunschweig or Rollei Singapore, or as Rolleinar (which meant that they were made by someone else, e.g. Mamiya). Do you have any pictures?

This particular lens would be (pretty much) identical to the D35 for the Contax/Yashica SLR mount, which is a great lens...

Yes, can you post a pic of the lens. I have one similar, although it's not an HFT, it's marked Carl Zeiss, and in Rollei QBM mount. I wonder if yours was the same and reworked as mentioned. If so, how?

Amedeo once suggested that he would modify QBM lenses to M mount, but the low demand made him change his mind. I have several Zeiss lenses in QBM mount. I love them. I have a 35/1.4 distagon.
