Rollei hood won't fit on my 124G

I have a rollei Bay I hood that was from my Rolleicord Vb and wanted to use it on my Yashica 124G. My understanding what that Bay I was Bay I and it didnt matter what brand, but the hood just will not go on the 124G, it seems too tight or something. Have any of you found Bay I accessories that didnt work with brands other than its own?

A bayonet I fits fine on both my Rolleiflex (MX-EVS) and Yashica mat 124. However, I have some DIY filters that will fit the 'Flex but not the Yashica.

I bought one via ebay, some weeks ago for my 124-b... had the same problem.

the rollei hood is something like .35mm smaller than the yashica. I just opened it with some brutality, and now it works well.

You are not crazy. I found the lower bayonet for my 1964 Autocord to fit differently from the top bayonet in the same body, and, even more different from the lower bayonet of 1965 version. In addition, different brands of Bay I accessories do fit differently on the same camera.

does the plastic one uses the inside of the bay - like the filters - or does it hangs on the outside?

the plastic ones I saw on ebay seemed like they would fit inside, and prevent me from using the hood and a filter. that's why i wanted the metal one...
