So given the price and/or scarcity of the factory filters and hoods, esp. bay III, who has used alternatives?
I see a Heliopan round rubber hood for around $50 new at B&H, and a {very} off-brand set of filters on Ebay here. Anyone used these? Problems with viewing lens obstruction or vignetting with the hood? Comments on the quality of the filter glass?
Likewise, has anyone used one of the bayonet-to-screw adapters? Any issues with these? Do they set the filter significantly forward of where the dedicated bayonet accessories would sit?
