Anyone ever tried it?

I got a roll of Rollei Pan25 120 film with a recent order from an online camera store. If anyone has tried it I'd love to see some pictures!

This months B&W Photography magazine (UK) had a test of this. I havn't read the whole article yet, the gist of it seems to be that it doesn't have that much more resolution than HP5+.

Actually, looking at the photos - I prefer the HP5+ ones.

Sounds disappointing.
Is the finer grane noticeable in the pictures? Did they try 120 film or 35mm?

It's quite expensive. I wouldn't have bought it but I accidentally ordered two of another item instead of ordering just one so I asked them to replace one with whatever film that has the same price. I have, however, read that it's supposed to be similar to APX25 (which I have never tried either).

I've tried several rolls in 35mm. Its very fine grained and capable of very high resolution, more than what I would expect from HP5+.

Here is a scan of the full 35mm frame, and then a 1:1 crop of the highlighted area @5000dpi.
