I think this thread may just sell some Rollei Retro .... perhaps I should be contacting Maco before it's all gone!

You've just read my mind Keith. I'm not a big fan of slow film, but the quality of the images posted are winning me over.

Lovely photos here! Clearly I'm doing something wrong with my 1:100 45min stand development as my grain is significantly larger than in most photos featured here. ... or perhaps it is because of the stand development![]()
I get a grain "problem" with apx100/ rodinal when i overexpose and then darken the image is post......

Ah, okay. Thanks for the heads up. I'll steer clear from overexposing it in the future. Luckily I've got some Efke25 for slow work in the fridge.

My local supplier had 40 rolls and they are now mine. Luckily I still have Rodinal. He gave me a free roll of 400s to try. Rollei has so many films now I am confused.

You should have negotiated your bonus for the resulting sales, you mean...

Some enjoyable images here ...
APX100 can still be bough in drugstores in Germany.
I just got 5 rolls of the ADOX Pan 400 "first coating" and plan to soup it in Pyrocat HD after it will be exposed in Konica S3. Will let you know how it works

Just this week i tried Rodinal with Retro 100. My first attempt at 'stand' — 1:100, 60 minutes. It did NOT go well. I guess i'll try it the more conventional mix+time.
I do love Retro 100 with ID-11/D-76, though.

I'm now little puzzled. Stock some Rollei Retro 100 (I liked APX400, but haven't used APX100) or wait for RPX100/400 or ADOX Pan (and this would financial support for the future of film)?
I know no one can make decision for me, I'm just thinking loudly

RPX400 is available. I just ordered a couple of bricks. Don't know what is the current status of Adox Pan.

Well, I would stock now (but I already have), because there is no way on earth the new stuff is going to be as dirt cheap as APX100 (or Rollei Retro 100) is right now.

The "first flush" of the Adox Pan 400 is being sold at Fotoimpex.de, the final version and the 100 are still pending...

Right you are about price. But then competition from Kodak and Ilford go for almost as twice of Rollei. Probably it's twice as good but hey, I'm not perfect man.

Could anyone here comment on the differences between the Rollei 100 and the 80S? I have some 80S coming in 127 for my Yashica 44...

The best camera is one that still works!

I think 80S is surveillance film on polyester base.
I've decided on Rollei Retro 100 for slow film and Rollei RPX400 (announced to push up to 1600, bonus over 400S if I'm not mistaken) for medium and fast speeds when my little Neopan 400 stash will run out.
