Hi, just a few questions regarding a recently purchased Rolleiflex T. It is the first model, grey colour.

The shutter fires fine when looking through the camera with the back open,it makes the normal sound when pressing down on the shutter release, it fires at the chosen speed
but makes a click when I let go of the shutter release, is this normal?

I can't find a decent strap anywhere because of the weird way it attaches and the really thin pins the strap attaches to
, has anyone tried one of these straps http://cgi.ebay.com.au/New-Comforta...tem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5637c21f71,
the feedback doesn't look great for the other items though.

Has anyone tried one of these plastic hoods http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LENS-HOOD-YAS...ns_caps_hoods_adaptors_ET&hash=item3a5a1aefd8, do they work ok?
A genuine hood costs more than I paid for the camera and i'd rather put that money towards a service.

I noticed the lever that selects bulb/sync/delay slips down into the bulb position without pulling the little spring-loaded lever out then moving it down, is this normal?

Thanks

About the second click : yes, that is perfectly normal, and it actually is among the loudest operation on that camera.

Strap : what you can do is using small key rings and attach them to the little pins on the strap thing. Actually it might be safier than using the "croco" strap.

I can't tell anything about the hood, however it's also a sound spending to buy a lens hood. Plastic ones can be found for about 10$.

To finish with : the little metal thing in the middle of the lever is actually a screw, and it will indeed slip out of position if not screwed correctly. You just need to give it a few rounds and it should work correctly again!

Have a lot of fun with you camera (I'm sure you will!) and post samples soon!

Check if your shutter's on bulb.

Thanks for your reply, i pretty much assumed the second click was normal, its just a bit annoying as its louder than the actual shutter!
