Rotating Glass MF holder or Dust Magnet?

I bought the rotating FH-869GR MF negative holder for my Nikon Coolscan and am pleased with the results. Only issue so far has been trying to keep the glass dust and smudge free. I don't live in a particularly dusty environment and hardly have issues with dust on negatives in the course of scanning 35mm. Right out of the box the rotating holder has been a dust magnet. I've tried using canned air. I've tried orange static negative cloth. I've tried a soft cloth. I've tried using pec 12 solution with the special wipes. Pretty much most contact with the glass leaves smudges and I can't really seem to get all the dust off and get the glass really clear. Scans look nice but then I have to spend allot of time in lightroom picking out bits of dust in post. There must be a better way! Any advice??
