I was able to cast my vote, also.
So many awesome photographs to choose from! This is truly the best online photo community.
Thanks for organizing this contest, Stephen.

I voted too. Agree there are many fine photos here, but choosing was easier than I expected it to be. Thanks, Stephen, for putting this together.

I was going to cast my vite earlier while here at work... but with so many god photos, I though I'd just narrow it down for now, then take a closer look when I get home. I think I've narrowed it down to about 5.

Best of all would be to have a randomized display of images as it's an advantage to be listed early as many people vote as they go.
One question: would it be possible to have the gallery sorted from Earliest-to-Latest posted as default? Lots of views seem to stall at the third page (if the viewcounts are any indication, and the latest getting the most views for a shorter time than the earlier entries is another indication)?
And a general suggestion to the general viewing public: if you select "80 per page" and then (after the page refreshes) click "Views" (to sort by # of views), you'll get a reasonable "interestingness"-sorted layout. Not perfect, but reasonable.
Unintuitively, though, "View All" next to the category will not show all for the category. It will literally show all, no matter what category.

Some added multiple ID's after the contest was announced to make multiple votes.

Some created multiple ID's long ago. 3 of the voters for the current leading vote getter have different ID's but the same avatar... COINCIDENCE?
I don't think so.

No... I think it's an avatar by default. That's my avatar too and I haven't chosen it. It's a default.

I would have liked to have had a first, second, and third place vote. Multiple votes would have better reflected the difficulty of my choice. There were a lot of good photos.
Having a first, second, and third place votes would essentially mean each voter having three votes? There would need to be a mechanism to ensure the three votes were for different entries. Interesting to consider!
Yesterday I viewed the contest photos for the first time... I was most impressed at the quality displayed. There is some really fine work there. It took me about six hours to decide on my one vote. It was easy at first as I eliminated from consideration any that didn't meet my understanding of the rules. Keeping in mind pictorial quality + "human condition" got it down to 47 candidates, and I placed each one on its own browser tab and worked my way back and forth, the task getting harder and harder. One of them would be a better picture IMO while another spoke more to that human condition, and both aspects are important. Finally, with three still standing, well, I hope I picked the winner!
