I'm going to hawk my Jeep. I need to get rid of it by September first. I lost my parking space in Williamsburg.
At this point its a project car that needs a new body. Good thing is that there's a strong aftermarket, and you can get brand new bodies made of steel, aluminum or fiberglass.
Less than 14K Jeep Scramblers were ever made, and mine with the half cab that makes it a micro sized pickup is also rare.

I was going to keep my Scrambler as my old man vehicle for when I retire. At one point I was thinking of getting a small farm in Vermont, but the whole world seems upside down. BTW its an 84 and I've owned it since 1988. Drove cross country three times in that Jeep. Did a lot of exploring the Santa Fe National Forest using those rock crawling gears.
Anyway interesting times to try and capture by shooting photography. Everything just seems to be changing so rapidly, but I don't call this progress.
OH-WELL.

Glad to see this post in time! I'll join you guys @Kellogg's for breakfast. I guess a 24mm, a 50mm and a 75mm(that infamous pipe bomb) will do.

Shooting the hot rod car show was fun, as well as the walk in Williamsburg afterward. I got to see Cal's street photo technique in person. It was quite entertaining
Here are some severe purple fringing sample pics here, which might cure John's GAS towards a fast 50

Noctilux? Oh well, that's more of the M9s fault. It brings out all flaws in lenses it seems.

True, with M9, every fast lens shows some degree of purple fringing when shot wide open during the day. It's gone by f2.8, though.
How do you like the images from the 50 pre asph?

Dunstan and I ended up looping back to the Car show and at that time there was also an inline skating event take place under the BQE. Jersey Barriers were set up and an old Caddy convertable was used as obsticals along with ramps. The skaters were doing a pretty good job on nearly killing themselves. Lots of air born skaters looking cool is surf like positions. I shot wide and slow for motion blur and then I tried panning with a wide while these guys tracked their skates gliding the lengths of the Jersey Barriers.
I shot a lot of film in little time, but perhaps I might only have a few good shots. Anyways it was a fun challenge.
BTW I want a chrome 28 Cron badly.

I wound up going to the India Day Parade instead.
Tough choice ;-)
Cal: That cron is you all the way. Probably one of the best all around lenses.

hey Cal, sorry to have lost you in the crowd at the end. hope you didn't stick around too much longer.
anyways, those skaters sure were shredding it up, and Cal was shooting like a madman, going through at least 2 rolls of just these kids jumping the Eldorado...
also, by that time, there were far more shenanigans going on at the car show, with cops on hand and guys burning rubber.
so a great day of shooting all around, as evidenced by Tung's great shots!

They were really nice. No fringing and sharp enough for me. I'm just not sure if I want to use large lenses.

So, just drop the $4000 on it... come on... you know you want to.
