Which are the russian lenses that can be mounted, without to damage the shutterblade and without cover the cell of TTL metering? I thought to this lenses:
Jupiter 8 50/2.8
Jupiter 3 50/1.5

Could I have problems mounting them?
Thanks 😉

If it is possible, someone can make a russian lenses list that can be mounted on r2a/r3a?
Wideangle and 50mm please =)

Thank you very much.

I use a Jupiter 8 F/2 Brian Sweeney adjusted lens on my Bessa R2a and it works very well. I have had my Jupiter 35mm on this camera and used the camera on Aperature priority mode and it works also. I might have one of the Jupiter 35mm that mounts well on Bessas so becareful doing this.

One think is not damaging your shutter nor covering your cell. But I would like very much hearing any of the "no problem" witnesses clearly state about any FSU lens accuracy, mounted on any Bessa, shooting at widest aperture and minimum distance.

Not that I disclaim it, but Dante Stella disclaims it, and I would like to claim it.

Cheers,
Ruben

Here are some samples of Jupiter 8 at F2.8 so not wide open, ( with a lens that Brian Sweeney worked on) at one meter. The camera was a Bessa R2a.

The film is ERA 100 (chinese) that Bill Mattocks has been selling developed at 6 1/2 minutes at 68 degrees in HC-110.

I will look for some samples of 35mm Jupiter pictures.

MY jupiter 8 is fine close up and wide open on my Bessa R. There are three photos in my gallery (Rake, Implements2, and Wine and Tractor) that I shot at f2 and distances between 1 and 1.5 meters. The prints and negs are better than what the gallery posts look.
I have been happy with my J-9 as well but I don't have any scans to share.

I don't quite understand your question, but my answer (according to Mr. Stellas article) would be "It doesn't matter, just don't shoot it wide open as the DOF is too shallow to allow for inaccuracy."

From my experience with an Industrar 61 and Jupiter-8 (both f/2 wide open) I would say that wide open works fine. 🙂

J-8 is a 2/50 mounting should not be a prooblem, shallower DOF wide open, might require adjustment or stopping down when shooting close-up
I-61 is a 2.8/50 mounting should not be aproblem, deeper DOF wide open
J-12 is a 2.8/35 wit protruding rear part, so be careful, deep DOF wide open
