For the S2 I now have the VC 28/3.5 w/finder, the accesory shoe and meter from VC and just called the Gandy Man this afternoon and placed an order for the 35/2.5 and finder........first roll of shots from the S2 are beautiful, what a camera 🙂

Regarding prices, I think they've bottomed out in Japan and prices in the US will eventually adjust to match.

I think that the well-used cameras, like mine, are the least likely to be resold. They are too valuable to the owners!
When I experimented with my Auto-Up close-up lens on the S3, the images revealed that the 50/1.4 is starting to brass. It gets regular use as a carry-around camera and lens, and as often as not, the 50 is in one of my pockets or the bottom of a camera bag.
I'll predict that, in the next several years, $1,300 to $1,500 is the bottom range for a new or like-new kit. That's the bottom range of the camera's useful value as a useful photographic tool. Heck, if they got any lower than that, I'd be buying them for my kids to use!

I was just letting my 7-year-old use the S3 this morning. They're still young enough that they like to copy me.

If I'm not mistaken Fuji has already blown off most of their developing chemicals and bulk loading BW films. Not any publicity, just sneaking out the back door, as of 3-19.

Here's a shot of the film fridge at Yodobashi Camera in Yokohama taken earlier tonight (I took it with my cell phone camera so excuse the poor quality). I LOVE this place. More film there than I'll ever need 😀

Film sales at photo houses may be slipping because the low-end retailers are so cheap. I used to buy my film at a CVS drugstore. Now I buy it at WalMart -- five rolls of Fuji 400 for about $7.50. WalMart also processes my film ... a roll developed and scanned to 2mp files is $4.23 after a recent price reduction. Used to be $4.58. The one-hour photo counter there does a brisk business. I'm nearly always waiting in line.
