I think my S3 is back focusing with my 105mm, just shot another roll of film with an S2 to confirm (its still in the fix) if its the lens or the camera. Does anyone have any info about adjusting rangefinder?
I've adjusted the rangefinder on my Leicas plenty of times but have no clue about the nikon.
Thanks.

Is the rangefinder patch matching the background at infinity with no lens on camera? If so, the camera focusing should be okay. If not, adjustment of the RF patch is fairly easy. Remove the front plate from around the lens mount. You should see a receded screw near the viewfinder window. Turn that back or forth with a small screwdriver while looking through the viewfinder with lens mount set at infinity and view at infinity. When patch and finder match, you are all set.
Otherwise, Is your 105 a 'S' mount lens, or does it have a 'C' on the side of the barrel? If it has a 'C', that's the problem. It's a Nikkor intended for use on a Contax. WES

Yeah patch seems to be ok at infinity, no C on the side just P.C on the front.
Maybe I'm just expecting too much here is a test pic at f2.5
Thanks.
