Safrotto buckle breaks

Yeah, I originally thought that... Then I looked up the price of original Domke's (without shipping) and swollowed that pill... You can find some sellers with more reasonable shipping quotes. Mine supposedly came from within the US (west coast) and only cost $12 to ship. See the seller here:

Mekko/Safrotto bag... $12 shipping (click link)

Possibly the sellers you saw were shipping from somewhere in asia where they are made? Either way, from my experience (I bought from the above seller) the bags are great, and while I'd like the name brand they are more than enough quality at a reduced price.

Peter,
My main complaint about the high shipping cost is that it varies from $20 to $35 with the smaller less costly bags having the higher shipping cost. It sets off my "hose job" alarm.
Thanks for the link.

Thanks to this thread, I'd saved the sale for the Mekko bag. Today I got my wife to order it for me as my birthday present. Thanks for the information, folks!

I must say, I am still using my Safrotto 803 clone for about a year now. I actually like how its starting to wear in. Since I got my DSLR I been carrieng it around in my Safrotto bag. Now I need a new RF bag. I could even get a smaller bag if need be. Anyone know of anything in that price range that would work to hold 2 rf bodies and an extra lens or 2. OR I can just get a new bag for my DSLR..... How are the Adorama Slinger bags?
