Is 120 film developed according to the same procedure as 35mm?

For example, I just started developing my own 35mm Ilford HP5super. Can I follow the same recipe for HP5 in 120?

The Ilford Quick Start Guide doesn't specifically mention 120, but I'd imagine that if the emulsions are the same, so should the development. Thank you.

Yes, though many prefer a tiny bit more exposure (1/3 stop) and more development (5-10%) for 120, in the interests of tonality. Both increases entail bigger grain and less sharpness, but the increases will be trivial as compared with the increase in quality.

Cheers,

R.
