I got something similar! I got "The Impassioned Eye". I hate dubbed documentaries, but they did it well with this one.
It was beautiful.

I got Annie Leibovitz, "A Photographer's Life."
Now I know more about her -- more than I wanted, actually.

Black D-Lux 3. Now I can stop trying to steal my Olympus Stylus Epic back from my mother for a point and shoot camera.
I love the amount of manual control this thing gives me. Exposure, contrast, and color are bang on even when automated. Flash photos look good too and are helping me get over my aversion to flash.

Pain is scary.
Not much for me a few shirts, ties and a cool wrench. No gear at all, but this year I
was busy shopping for myself. All the gear in my Signature below I bought this year
along with a 1984 John Deere 316, 1964 John Deere 110 RF, and a 2005 Honda 400EX.
I had plenty this year.

Hey Frank! Nice Epi for your daughter. Hope she enjoys it. I bought my wife an Epiphone Hummingbird. I think I have a free pass on housework and mistakes for a couple of weeks at least!!
I scored a nice copy of Bystander. Not a big deal perhaps, but I've been wanting one for a while, so it makes me happy.

My family and friends spoiled me rotten... a complete set of Rex Stout's Nero Wolfe novels, sushi dishes and a sushi cookbook, a gift card for cooking classes at Viking Kitchen Center, a wok cookbook and a wine guide, a Borders gift card, some flamenco CDs, a Gonzaga University fleece jacket (my alma mater), a book on the Hudson River School, a book about orchids, a book of Charles Waite's landscape photography, and a 7" Ken Onion santoku knife (the most lovely knife I've ever seen). But the best gift of all was spending the first Christmas with my lovely fiancee.

A complete set, huh?!? Wow! That is a nice gift. I enjoy a good Nero Wolfe every now and then. I have a stack sitting near me right now. Don't believe they publish too many like that anymore. Does Wolfe have anything to do with your enjoyment of orchids by chance?!
Good answer on the last bit. Seems you have your priorities straight, not that Nero Wolfe would approve!

It turns out that I did get a Zero135. Deluxe model too. That's it for camera gear. My mother made me the usually batch of Portuguese baking. I got a bunch of gift certificates and lottery tickets. My best friend gave me two DVD's. John Frankenheimer's Grand Prix and Cobra-Ferrari Wars by Spirit Level Film.
