Someone snagged a IIIs with f/2.8 off eBay last night for $45. He just beat me to it..

Hi Colyn,
That would be me. It arrived in the mail yesterday. The bad news is
that it does not work which was probably because of the good news.
It arrived in absolutely mint condition. No dings, scratches, or dents
anywhere. Inside there was only one little film chip and no dust. The
pressure plate was very clean. It was used hardly at all and probably
sat in a closet for the last 50 or more years allowing all the lubricants
to harden up.
It is now sitting on my bench in pieces ready to be cleaned. Hope to
have it back in operation soon.

Sounds like you still got a good deal.
Wait till you re-string the meter.. It'll have you cussing like a sailor before it is over..

Oh man am I jealous. My IIc is boxed up and read to be sent off to see Mr. Sherlock, but I'd LOVE to have a complete IIIS kit. I'd be afraid to buy one off ebay though.

My advise in buying a IIIs - get the ceapest you can find and send her to chris too!
I would play the game with trying to find a good one for a higher price.
I´ve another IIIs here which I bought for 20,-€ from a local dealer - she will see New-Zealand soon

Aha! franz fischer straße. I was walking down that road just a few months ago. If I recall correctly, this laundry is just down the road from the hairdresser...

Thanks for the correction.
That afternoon was a good one for pictures. This chap turned into Leopoldstrasse just as we were walking out to Egger-Lienz Strasse. He posed very nicely with his rare Austin Healey 100...

I've always been interested in this camera, though not committed to the whole setup. Is that the 135mm?

How does the S-K 1.9 50mm Xenon perform wide open?

You see it in the pics above - just framed untouched scans.
Try to shoot it with my Canon EOS5D in the next days to show the performance on a digital cam.

So the two Innsbruck pictures were shot wide open at f1.9? Impressive performance.
Thanks,

I was curious about the 135 - how does it perform at f4?
