Scam Nikon F2 Titan seller Tokyo-shopping-time

Don't know what the page originally looked like, but maybe it has been changed, though the references to Titan remain in the description box, and the url of the page. And the exorbitant asking price.

Ah ok now I see it. One thing I've noticed with a lot of sellers of multiple items they sometimes use the same descriptions and forget to change bits. Or they load the wrong pics.

Now the headline reads "Nikon F2 Early Model Photomic Finder Black SLR Film Camera Body Japan": no mention of Titan version.

The "View All Revisions" link on a listing page is there for a reason. The same seller has other listings for the Titan version. They most likely got the description mixed up, and have since fixed it. The listing was after all revised today (27/11/19). Much ado about nothing.

The early F2s had the F-style leatherette on the body, but this one has the newer style, so its not a REALLY early model. I can't make out the serial number clearly (its still too early in the morning for me).

That viewfinder looks like it doesn't have any wear on it at all.

Looks like he changed it, as there is no more reference to it being titanium. He's still asking $1200 though! :)

...by the way, I find their whole rating system kind of scammy.

Don’t think it’s much ado about nothing. i’m Sure they got called out on it and they are still describing it as excellent barely used. And asking $1500 for a $200 camera. And one of their descriptions still shows Titan.

Pretty sure their other Titan listings are fake too, as they do not provide a way of confirming authenticity. Serial # is just one thing. Sover Wong’s site lists all the things to look for and the decent sellers make those images available in their ads.

Perhaps you should report the listings, then?
