HI everybody,
I just recently shot my first roll of color film and am having it developed. I want to scan it when I recieve it back from the lab but am not sure what I need to do to scan color film.
I have been using epson scan for B+W as I find it works just as well if not better than silverfast.
Will epson scan work fine for color film?
Also, I heard that there is an orange cast that I will need to remove once I scan it in. Is this true? and if so how do I go about removing it?

Thank you,
Kyle

Scan in profesional mode, no home or easy mode or automatic.

Check the box that says film , not documents. That lights the cover light. Then film type use color negative. This reverses colors and removes the orange mask.

Now you have to establish density and color balance. When you get those correct, save them as a preset for that film type in the top where it says current setting. Replace current setting with Kodak or Fuji XYZ. Recall that next time you scan that film type.
