I'm right now scanning my first half-frame roll (looks good!), and I do like the serendipity of two frames being scanned together. But the thick black divide between the frames really throws off the contrast balance of the pictures. I'd like to scan the frames individually if I can--has any of you tried this on VueScan? I realize I have to adjust the Input/Frame Spacing, but by how much?

Has any of you made a preset for doing this?

This is my preset for scanning single half-frame shots with Vuescan and the LS-5000.
The important part is setting the frame spacing in the input tab. It is set to 0 by default, which probably means that the scanner provides a default frame spacing. I set it to 19mm in the GUI, which was translated to the strange "2992" value in the INI file (probably based on the number of scanner steps with 4000dpi)

Hope this helps,
