FWIW, I just renovated my "Scenic Italy" page (which I had sorely neglected).
This was not a "project" per se, but actually two vacations that I was able to squeeze out some nice shots.

Montepulciano is about 80 miles south-south-east of Florence.
Like many other towns in Italy, it is a "fortified" hilltop town.
That group of photos on my web page also come from Sienna, Montalcino and Assisi.
Our home for 8 days was Montepulciano.
