Second hand Bessa R, R2, R2m?

I want to make a present to a friend of mine. It has to be a rangefinder.

Can anyone recomend me a place to buy second hand Bessas. I know lots of places for Leica, but none of them seems to stock second hand voigtlander.

And, i would like to know your preferences: Bessa r2 vs Leica CL

Try www.keh.com. The Bessa R2 has more frame lines than the Leica CL. But it is also a good bit larger, I think

KEH has a bargain CL on ebay for 400 - less if you use bing.com 8% off coupon.

Looks like it is in fine condition to me.

I was struggling between the two, but I think I'm glad I got the Bessa R2A instead of a CL.

If you can find a cheap CL WITH the 40mm Summicron that might be a deal-breaker, though. If it's body only I think I would buy the R2A again.

CL would probably last longer and be easier to service and CLA in the long run.

I had a CL & sold it for a R because of the cost of dealing with a dead meter. An R2 would have been even better but I couldn't afford one at the time. If it were now, I'd go with the R2.

If u are going for Bessa then go for the latest model R2M or R2A. They are great refinements from the earlier models.

But if they are hard to find used then R2 is good to use actually.
