securing screw mount on LTM

Hello out there,
these coming days I will receive my new Nokton 50/1.5 in conjunction with the fitting LTM-adapter for my R2M. Now I'm a little bit worried concerning screw mounted lenses. Since I do not intend to use it on a screw mount, should I secure the Nokton with some Loctite to the LTM? I have this recurring nightmare of the lens getting loose, falling off.
Does anyone here have some experience or advice regarding this matter?

Don't worry, attach the adapter with a bit of pressure and it will not loosen.
If you glue or loctite it, it will be very hard to remove, in particular when the lens needs maintenance.

Stop worrying. As long as you screw in the lens tightly enough & have a decent quality LTM-M adapter, you'll be fine. After all, people have been using thread mount Leicas for decades without this being an issue.

I think you'd be hard pressed to have your lens unscrew from the mount.

I've been using screw mount lenses for 35 years and I've never had one come loose.

I'll go without the Loctite. After all, I guess that messing that way with a lens would have been somehow sacriligeous.

Yeah, no need to loctite or even over-tighten a screw mount lens mounted via a ltm-to-m-mount adapter. Also, since it may not have been clear from the other posts, there are enough turns or threads to a screw mount lens that even if you didn't get it screwed down tight and it did happen to unscrew slightly, that would still be a long way from actually falling off the camera. Stated differently, multiple turns to screw it on also means multiple turns to screw it off. Hope that gives you some greater measure of comfort.

I had to use an LTM adapter for my R2M and Ultron 19mm combination.
The "hole" for the M-lock was not deep enough and the lens (L-srew mount
holds very well) almost came loose. I carefully machined the hole in the LTM adapter and now you can't unmount the lens (and adapter) without pushing the release lock on the camera.

Try it first. It takes 2 1/2 turns to fall off.

If you simply must. add a thin paper over the last thread to tighten or wrap the lens with plumbers silicone tape, clockwise as yo ulook at it.

Blue locktite as opposed to red will break loose. Use ONE drop.

None of this should be necessary.
