As I mention in another thread I am heading to Guadeloupe shortly for vacation. I am pretty set on which colour film I will take along (Velvia, Ektar and Astia), but I am undecided for B&W. My film of choice is usually Tri-X, but lately I have enjoyed T-MAX 400. I imagine the scenes will be very contrasty, so perhaps I should go for Tri-X. Will pulling to 100 or 200 soften contrast more or less?

Thanks.

Tri-X at rated speed should be good. As there will be plenty of light, you might consider Plus-X also.
