It's the only time I get to appear in a family photo. My wife refuses to take photos (of me or anything) with my "complicated" M2! Of course, there is the self-timer but that really is for nerds. 😉

The question is, does my photography suck because of my avatar or because I'm a nerd? If I change my avatar will my photography improve and will I be less nerdy?

Hmm..seems I am a nerd. Don't mind it actually - my wife calls me both geek and nerd all the time (in a loving voice...I think), as long as she does not comment on my more than 50 cameras, I do not really care. But hey - I don't comment on her 4 story doll house either (she is 45) 😀

I do take a lot of self shots in the mirror. Whenever a test a "new" camera (usually after a sever GAS attack or a visit to the local second hand store), I start by shooting into the mirror to make sure which camera I am testing, otherwise it sometimes get a bit confusing when developing 3 or 4 films in a batch.

And wait a minute - my avatar is a mirrored reflection from a computer screen, made at at hi-tech art exhibition that I visited some time ago. Wonder if that counts...🙄

It is pure geekery, but you have to do it sometimes. I'd never put it on the internet though...unless it had some endearing quality I didn't intend. In the Avatar? Not my thing.

I avoided this post for over a year... yes, that is a qualifying avatar,
but spending the holiday mostly in bed with a horrendous cold,
I was amusing myself with a digi pns.
