Its your chance now to dump that old piece of rubbish into my hands.
- 12585 - Vented Metal for 50/2, 35/2, etc...
- 12526 - Plastic Square Hood for ASPH-35/2 and older...
Both or one is needed to quench my Leica lust, and my ability to smash
my lens against every door I walk into.

If you only want to block the front element from the sun and protect it, try one of the Oriental knock-off's on E-Bay for
$10-20. They do the job just as effectively as the manufacturer's high priced models.

Good luck if you are one of those who feels your photos won't be the same if the hood doesn't say Leica on it.

Yes, check out Heavystar on ebay. They sell good products for reasonable prices.

I've used Heavystar hoods, and I just got my first Leica hood.
I'm not going back, the quality and design is a big difference.

Sell your DR hood, buy a 12585, and use it on both 50 and 35. You'll make money in the process.
