Hello All,
I'm very excited to announce the upcoming release of my first book of photographs, "UNPOSED," featuring approximately 52 black and white pictures, all taken with Leica M rangefinders.
The book is published by teNeues, which publishes Elliott Erwitt's books, Bruce Weber's, Michel Compte's and Herb Ritts', among others, and is scheduled to be released September 15th in Europe, and October 15th in the USA.
Here is a portion of the foreword, written by Mr. Erwitt:
"Good photographs are tough enough to shoot. Really funny ones are even harder. Good and funny photographs observed in nature not arranged or manipulated but simply observed in real time with amazing consistency, constitute a minor miracle now presented in Mr. Semetko’s book..."
...In my book he is the essential photographer. That is, the one who sees what others could not have seen."
As you can imagine, I am thrilled about the upcoming release. I'd be glad to answer any questions about the publication process or the photographs in the book if any fellow RFFr's are interested. I'm heading to Italy next week to oversee the actual printing.
The book can be pre-ordered here at amazon, and almost all of the pictures appearing in it can be seen at my website: www.craigsemetko.com, in the black and white section.
The book is basically old school street photography, something I think we all appreciate, taken with rangefinders, the cameras we all love.
Absolute best wishes to all, and I hope the links worked!🙂
