Sending my M6 for a CLA and feeling nervous

While my M6 certainly needs a CLA (vertical misalignment), I can't help worrying about sending it off to be repaired (so many "what ifs"). I have been in contact with Youxin Ye and will be sending the camera to him tomorrow for a CLA + MP finder upgrade, but in much the same way I imagine parents feel when first sending their kids to school, I am loathe to send my most beloved camera away for any length of time. I imagine there are some of you out there that share my neuroses.

i have only ever sent off my rd1 for the epson spa treatment...all the way to japan and back but i did have a second rd1 body to shoot with so i was not too lonely.
i sent off a canon p that i had dropped on to the sidewalk but that one was in real need of repair so i felt ok about it.
btw, the rd1 came back in great shape and has been picture perfect since.

If I send out a camera for repair, I have other cameras that I can use.

I just got back from Youxin a repaired Tower 3 camera.
What are his fees for the finder upgrade?

I've used Youxin several times including a rangefinder adjust on my M6TTL, never had a problem he does good work and is relatively fast.

The last time I did the MP flare-free upgrade during CLA by Youxin, it cost me $160.

With an M2 it's just a matter of unscrewing that tiny screw on the front of the top cover, to access the adjustment with an ordinary screw driver, but with the M6 it's taking out the red dot, the RED DOT mind you, and using a specially machined tool for the job. And you want the finder upgrade too.

It's just a camera. They skin their knees, answer back, stay out longer than they should and never really appreciate what you've done for them. Accept the reassurances about the camp leader there and maybe your darling will return, a little taller (hope not actually, that would be the TTL top cover by mistake,) leaner (less gunky lubricant) and more willing to do chores without complaint.

Youxin has a faster turnaround time than most Leica techs, in my experience. He just did an MP finder upgrade for my M6ttl, CLA, removed 75/135 framelines, and relubed my Summicron ASPH 35. This took one week.
