Sending my Electro 35 GSN in to Russ at Camerarefurb.com for a CLA / tuneup. This will be the third camera I have sent to him. First two came back looking like new!:D

Good idea. I've got a GTN that's going to head his way after I get a couple other camera repairs out of the way.

I have a couple I'm thinking of sending him myself. I'm willing to remove the top cover and clean the viewfinder, but the Pad of Death is beyond my expertise, for sure.

I won't even try to remove the top cover. I did send another GSN to a guy in China who hand stitches leather half cases for cameras. He does not make one for the GSN but thought he might have another case that fits well. Anyway, I had an extra donor and maybe he will make a GSN case.

I am brand new to Yashica RF, and want advice about where to send my Yashica 35 for repair/CLA.. and lens separation work. I have heard of Mark Hama, and Russ at Camerarefurb.com. Would one be recommended over the other for any reason?

Both are terrific. Russ has done several cameras for me, including the one below. Mark did a troublesome GTN and a GX.

Here's a "red lettering" GT from Russ which I recently sold here on RFF. Seems like too many of these jumped into my possession.

My newly acquired lynx 1000 is slightly misbehaving. The shutter press button is suddenly a little unreliable. Had to open the film compartment (ruining a few exposures) and then reset the button at bottom a few times to make it work again. Also the light meter is not working. Any suggestions where I can send it for service in the UK.
