Sensia 100 vs 200

I've been a hardcore Provia 100F/Velvia 100F user the last few years but back in the day I used to shoot a lot of Sensia 100 and liked it. As far as I know it is the same film as Provia in terms of color rendition etc.
Does anyone have any opinions about Sensia 100 vs 200? Is 200 noticeably grainier or is the color different? Anyone have any comparison samples?

Well I just spoke to a Fuji rep and he says that Sensia is between Provia and Velvia. More natural color like Provia, and higher contrast like Velvia. No Astia characteristics.
Now has anyone shot the 200 ISO (35mm)?

OK..just nerding...Fuji Medical rep told Sensia is closer to Provia 🙂

According to Fuji's product sheets, Sensia 100 is a consumer version of Astia 100, Sensia 400 is the consumer version of Provia 400F. The specs and curves for these product sets appear to agree.

Judging by the resolving power and grain numbers Sensia 200 is a 200 ISO derivative of Provia 400F. Sensia 200 has slightly higher resolution than Provia 400F and roughly the same grain.

I've used all the Sensia and Provia films and my experience matches the product lit. I can't destinguish between Astia and Sensia 100 or Provia 400F and Sensia 400. Sensia 200 is a real bargain with characteristics similar to Provia 400F, but a stop slower and a lower price point. I have one body always loaded with it.

The new Provia 400X is in a different league. Finer grain and a little more snap to the color than the 400F it replaces.

I didn't pay attention to ISO...that makes difference, I were set on ISO100.

Scandium - thanks for the input - and welcome to RFF - I've a couple of rolls of Sensia 200 in the freezer that I have a better idea how to put to best use now - please stay around and continue to share your knowledge.

Well I just got back my test roll of Sensia 200 and looked at it in the projector. I don't think I like it very much. It's a little flat and seems to have a bit of a green cast. Nothing that can't be fixed in scanning but I like my slides to look good right in the projector. Too bad because I was liking the idea of a 200 ISO slide film!
So back to Provia or Velvia 100F I guess. Any other suggestions? (Not Kodak because their prices just went WAY up in Canada!)

I tried some rolls of sensia200(1year expired) with Bessa R2M & Ultron 35/F1.7. In my opinion , it has natural and a little warm color. For your reference. 😉
