New York September NYC Meet-Up

For me, either the 15th or 22nd work. After the 22nd, I'm in Philly for a week then heading out on the road towards New Mexico.

Any football fans? Just wondering. Cameras, buffalo wings, and football go together pretty well with the exception of the decisive moment occurring when hot sauce is on your trigger finger.

The bar we go to doesn't have a TV. We did that on purpose because bars get too crowded for meet-ups during football season if they have a TV.

Where will the meeting take place? Can I suggest the new beer garden in Harlem. Not as far uptown as the last time.

Ah! That makes total sense.

However, the devil's advocate in me wants to know if non-camera lovers who watch football would decide not to go to a specific bar with a TV that camera lovers go to because it gets too crowded during RFF monthly meet-ups.

You know? The day that RFF ousts everybody else at Brother Jimmy's BBQ on Super Bowl Sunday. Not that I'd go to Brother Jimmy's BBQ on Super Bowl Sunday...

Keith,

Is this place bigger than Harlem Public? Hopefully not a sports bar?

A beer garden should be huge Cal... if it's not, it shouldn't be called a beer garden. Think of the two places we went to in Astoria.

Ivan,

We camera nerds tend to be the smaller group. Also we try to make our events a safe place for everyone. I'm not into bullying anyone, nor do I encourage it.

John,

I see. I'm game to opening it up for discussion. It would be great to explore new areas and see Keith again. Like I said above we like to be inclusive.

Yeh, I know - I know.
I was just letting my imagination run for a second where "we camera nerds" rule the world and stuff. :D

GEAR ALERT: Now there are three Monocrom's at the New York Meet-Up.

Cal

Did you buy a second one?

The 22nd is good for me. The beer garden sounds ok if the weather holds up (presuming there is an outdoor). I do think we should be making the most of Puck's while they are still around.

Heads up; that weekend is the art book fair at PS1. We ended up there last year after Cal's "life-march". It was great, but super busy, so not really a group activity. Highly recommended for anyone interested in art and photography books.
