Awesome...

I had seen that on 125th, but wasn't sure what they were on.... that's not good. Cheap too, so that makes it more of an issue. In case anyone wants to read:

John,

Thanks for the link. Kinda reminds me of the Bowelry back in the 70's but different. I've been up there at night coming home on Metro North. Like in the 70's anything can happen. "Kill first: ask questions later," I say.

BTW Baby-Dog acts kinda relaxed below 96th Street, and in Spa-Ha he is kinda tense.

Yesterday unrolled two 24x36 inch fiber prints on 30x40 paper from Digital Silver Imaging. I really like the shot of the old Domino sugar refinery. Very impressive to see a print that looks kinda large format from my Monochrom.

Bob,

I'm in. This year should be interesting for me. I'll be going with a bigger focus on printing than shooting. As far as gear goes I pretty much have more than I need.

Happy Fashion Week everybody. Tonight is some cocktail party in the West Village. I am dressed up from being my usual slobby self due to the likelyhood that I will be photographed. I'm wearing a rather visually loud Paul Smith t-shirt and these skinny hipster Japanese jeans that have a bit of spandex in them with worn in wrinkles with a pair of plain black Vans. Pretty interesting that I can get away with wearing these youthful clothes at age 57 1/2, LOL, and not look silly. I'm a vintage hipster, I tell you. Basically I look like a fashionable leftover hippy/surfer when really I'm a mountain bike racer in real life.

BTW the buzz among other fashion photographers is that somehow I'm able to get these shots involving movement with a manual focus Noct-Nikkor on a D3X.

Robert,

Although I often cause spec-ta-gulls, I don't do selfies. One reason is that I don't carry the cell phone that "Maggie" pays for. Another reason is that technically I am mucho lame; and because I'm lazy I tend to only apply myself technically in things that I think will endure/last like say printing Piezography B&W prints with 7 shades of black.

Perhaps next week I'll try to figure out a link to some photo that someone else took of me tonight at the event.

Understand that I tend to annoy people. LOL.

Sounds good Cal have a great time. I did go to the Canon Expo
and saw the new 250 megapixel sensor, it was just a mock up
but they showed the effect of it on a monitor seeing a picture taken
in paris and a picture taken of the Eiffel tower 8 miles away and then
cropping it to show a woman dancing on one of the levels up close, wow!
