it's like christmas at my place or more closely like Hanukkah.
for the past week i have had a small 'present' waiting at my door each day.
first, some film from fellow forumers in trade for some of my stuff.
then the ebay stuff started coming.

today, i got a nice hood from holland, in 34 mm size to fit my canon 100/4 lens. it's much nicer than the hood i bought previously, just a nicer shape & slightly better condition.
along side that package was another, holding my $1.00, 34mm yellow filter from england. it's engraved 'walz for summar', but fits perfectly on the canon 100. the glass is near perfect but there is a touch of (looks like) rust on some of the outer threads where a hood likely was attached.

serendipity?, 2 items from different countries for the same lens on the same day.

Where did I go? Have I been gone? Yes, infrared, off of one of those goofy little CD's, that they put your negs on. The actual neg and print, look awesome. It's a recent one. What else do you want besides your filter and film?

Hey, the price was $0.66 a gallon, when that gas station called it quits. I took a close up of the prices too. Was that about the mid 70's?

you have not posted in the last few days, i thought maybe you were taking a break from us.
(this whole disappearing rich thing has got me spooked i guess.)

filter & film sound good.
when all my recent ebay purchases finally show i will have an abundance of filters & hoods.
i found an adapter of sorts that allows use of series 6 filters with my 43.5 filter size oly 35rc. so that takes care of one hood as it sticks out quite a bit.
i need another series 6 yellow (using red for now) and a hood for the other oly.
series 6 are usually an easy find on ebay but not lately. the hood is another matter...

About 3 years ago gas was below $0.60 a gallon around here; now it is below $1.80.

Gas was above a dollar at the end of the '70s; it was below $0.50 before the 1973 oil crisis.
