Serial number identification of Zorki

hello Tvagi, thank you for reply.
Unfortunately I neve have seen any Zorki 1
with red speed numbers, apart my ZorkI1 with
slowspeed in which the 20th is red.
This does not means strictly that does not exists anyway,
but there isn't any valid reason to pict in red.
Even, the scale is not correct, because in that
progression might be 100 and not 125.
So maybe was substituted.

Hi Tvagi, please I don't understand. The speed wheel might be subsitute in early model, even in recent.

More, on the shutter wheel of ALL types of Zorki from 1a to 1d (so from serial number 5600 to 654000 plus some specimen of 55xxxxx) the sequence is Z-20-30-40-60-100-200-500 in BLACK.
(Z for shutter remaining open derived directly from Leica, the German "ZEIT")

On the shutter wheel of Zorki 1d and 1e the sequence is B-25-50-100-250-500 in BLACK. (Now for the opening shutter is used B, from English "BULB")

There are anyway some Fed-Zorki with 1/1000, even Zorki 1a1 (like one in my collection, serial number #06584).

So your camera MUST BE the scale Z-20...500.

Tvagi, I have seen the pictures. For me is absolutely re-invented. There is no-sense to put 125 instead of 100 in that scale.
Also, the positions. 125 would be engraved more closer to 200, instead it is in the same position of 100! For example, in speed wheel of 55 models, the 25 is advanced respect the 20 in old speed wheel. Then there is a large blank space, then the 50.

With Soviet Cameras happens more frequently that parts are completely re-builded. Often spare parts was not always available and camera repairmen made miracles.... I have not told your speed wheel is FAKE: but sure is WRONG.

With regard to the serials: please note that in the later years the Z2 and Z3 were also produced and were given serialnumbers in the same series as the Z1. My Z2 has number 55111xx and one of my Z3s has number 5519xx.
