Series 3 Gitzo heads on 2 series tripod

I've got three different and heavy tripod heads, all Gitzo. I want to use them on a 2 series tripod. Can I?

If your 2 series legs are systematic, they will fit perfectly. If it's non-systematic, the heads will overhang slightly.
