I just acquired a Rollei 35 S, which I am really enjoying. However, I have a question that is not answered in the manual for the camera. Does it make any difference in setting the meter's film speed whether you press in the aperture changing lock button and hold the dial in place while you adjust the ISO scale, or can you just let the aperture lock take the strain from the resistance in the ISO dial as you make the adjustment? It takes a fairly significant amount of force to set the ISO on my camera.

I wouldn't worry about depressing the lock button as it only serves to release the aperture ring. I would however, hold the aperture ring between my fingers while turning the ASA/DIN dial in order to avoid excess strain on the lock switch.

Thank you very much for the info: I figured that would be the case, but thought I should check given the precision construction of the camera.
