Just got my "new" Fed 2 back from a CLA by Yuri. Am about to load it up for the first time. I'm thinking of trying some of that Rollei Retro 400. But I see the film speed wheel only goes up to 180 ISO. Now since the Fed is not an Auto exposer does it matter what speed you put to on. On my Olympus Pen EE 1/2 frame it's an auto and only goes to 200 ISO, I ran some 400 speed film and the exposer was off by at least one stop. Anyway is it OK to run the 400 in the Fed2 ?
thanks

Yes, use any film you want to. The film speed wheel is a convenient reminder of the film you have put in the camera. The film speed wheel has no effect on the function of the camera. You will need a light meter to provide exposure information for the film you are using.

The Fed 2 speed setting is just a 'reminder' that means nothing. Use a piece of tape with notes on the bottom if you need to but set your meter or adjust your 'sunny 16' settings and don't think twice about the camera setting.

Cheers

Hi,
even though it is just a reminder. Do you know how to set it? I'm following the guide but what do they mean by "pressing the disk lugs"?

Hold the winder knob still by the outside, then use the three pimples to turn the reminder dial to where you want it.
