Traveling to seville next friday enroute to spending a week in extremedura to do some bird watching. I'll be spending 3 days in seville and was wondering if there's anything i shouldn't miss out? Also, how does one ask for directions to the toilet in spanish?
Regards

Seville and only 3 days, that's real hard. You may take a look at these sites

Seville 1
Seville 2
Seville 3

Asking for toilets (short form) "Servicios, por favor? or "Aseos, por favor?. If he starts answering in rapid spanish tell him " Mi no es habla espanol" and he'll show you the direction.

Have a good time and I would be interested in some shots from the Extremadura

thanks for the tips guys. I just found a copy of a free spanish phrase book from The Independent newspaper as well. Any more tips on locations would be good though. Currently bringing SLR gear for the birds and an xpan for the streets!

Plaza de Espana is a must, no matter what are your preferences. the cathedral is one of the biggest one in the world (2rd or 3rd). Also worth a visit are the Reales Alcazares, the Parque Maria Luisa, the Alcazar and, my favorite, the Barrio de Santa Cruz. There are a lot more places but as you only stay for 3 days these places are a good start. You have to consider 2 things, at the moment there are a lot of construction works and Seville is one of the hottest places in Spain (40° C and more in the summer) so don't forget your water bottle (you can buy it everywhere, just look for refrescos). Take your time when visiting the places and don't forget to try out Tapas and raciones. Because Sevilla is noisy (like the rest of Spain) get used to stay up long, rise early and take your siesta in the afternoon like the rest of the city.

No es "Mi no es habla español". It is... "Yo no hablo español!"

Profundamente estremecedora.Que lo pasen muy bien!!
