I am currently replacing the shutter cloth of a Fed NKVD which I got yesterday. After cleaning and relubricating al the parts I was wondering how I would glue the curtains to the laths.
For all the curtains I have replaced thus far I have used transparant contact glue, which works fine. I was wondering if any of you has ever sewed curtains. I can get black shellac as well.

no, the contact cement works fine and strong enough to hold them together without problem.

Sewing curtains is risky. I asked Youxin about this not
long ago and he strongly advised against it.
